"Second Coming" Chapter 5
The X-Men finally catch up to Nathan and Hope right before the are ambushed again. Logan decides that they must split up Hope and Cable since it is the techno virus within Cable that is allowing Bastion to track the pair. Logan will lead the decoy team away so Rogue and Nighcrawler can take Hope the rest of the way to Utopia. Kurt ports them as far as Las Vegas when he needs to rest but Bastion finds them and immediately takes down Rogue. He turns his attention to his prime target, Hope but Nightcrawler ports in and takes Hope to Utopia. But in order to save Hope, Nightcrawler has ported through Bastion's arm and when they arrive on Utopia, Kurt succumbs to his wound and dies.
