"Escape -- to Terror!" – (48-page story) – The Silver Surfer, with the help of Reed Richards, finally escapes the barrier of Galactus. Upon returning to Zenn-La, he descovers it is now a barren wasteland. Betraying Galactus meant Zenn-La was forfeit, Galactus returned after the Surfer was imprisoned on earth and ravaged the planet. The Surfer learns that Shalla Bal has been taken from Zenn-La by Mephisto. He must return to earth once more to free her, even though it means being imprisoned once again. The Surfer defeats Mephisto, but Shalla Bal is returned to Zenn-La, forever beyond his reach. Before she passes the barrier of Galactus the Surfer imbues Shalla Bal with a portion of the Power Cosmic. Granting her the power to return life to their barren homeworld.
