Daredevil Modern Era Epic Collection: Guardian Devil
Daredevil enters the modern era with the creative reinvigoration of Marvel Knights! In 1998, filmmaker Kevin Smith (Clerks, Chasing Amy) joined with superstar artist Joe Quesada to relaunch DAREDEVIL — and together they delivered a modern classic! A scared teenager on the run. An infant child some say is humanity’s savior. A former lover whose life is now hobbled by a terrible secret. A law partner accused of a horrible crime. A city overcome by an inscrutable menace. They need a guardian. Someone to protect them. Someone with faith in them. They need the Man Without Fear: Daredevil! Then, brilliant creator David Mack takes the writing baton, introducing Maya Lopez — A.K.A. Echo — into Matt Murdock’s life! Though they’re seemingly kindred souls, their secret identities are very much at odds. Maya seeks her father’s killer — whom the Kingpin identifies as Daredevil! Can Matt clear his name before his new love becomes his executioner?COLLECTING: Daredevil (1998) #0-15, 1/2Written by Kevin Smith, David Mack, Jimmy Palmiotti & Joe QuesadaPenciled by Joe Quesada & Rob Haynes
