Firelord discovers that his homeworld of Xandar has been completely destroyed in a raid by Nebula and her mercenaries, who have possession of Thanos's old starship "Sanctuary II". It's up to the combined forces of the Avengers and the Skrulls to defeat Nebula. At the apex of battle the Beyonder suddenly appears, just as Nebula reveals to Starfox that she is the Granddaughter of Thanos. In a misguided attempt to aid the Avengers, he banishes Nebula to an unrevealed location outside of the Andromeda galaxy. -Story continues in The Avengers Annual #14.

NOTE: Several key events occur in this issue; The destruction of Xandar, including the death of Queen Adora. It is implied that many characters have been killed off-panel, including the New Champions of Xandar and the entire Nova Corps. It also includes the revelation that Nebula may be the Granddaughter of Thanos.
