Phillip Kennedy Johnson - Midnight Spider-Man #1 Launch Signing

Phillip Kennedy Johnson is a fan-favorite and critically acclaimed comics writer whom we'd be thrilled to have join us any time for a signing but we're extremely fortunate to have him out to meet Tulsa-area fans for the launch of Midnight Spider-Man and the entire Midnight Universe!

Phillip is also continuing his long run on Hulk in the pages of Infernal Hulk and the Infernal Hulk Vs. ... series of one-shots which pave the way for the earth-shattering Hulk War event.

While helming an event title and helping to launch an entire universe are huge, Phillip's writing isn't merely about the spectacle. His stories are very character-driven. They pull you in and keep you wanting more.

Beyond that, Phillip is wonderful with fans and is genuinely appreciative. That's why he's making this event not only a signing where you'll be able to get books signed for FREE and talk with him 1-on-1 but, before the signing starts at 2 PM, starting at 1 PM you'll want to be here for an open panel discussion. As the name suggests, MIDNIGHT Spider-Man (along with Midnight X-Men & Midnight Fantastic Four) are very dark takes on characters you think you know. At their core, these are still heroes but in a world where being a hero is so much harder and genuine horror is everywhere, including in aspects of the heroes themselves.

These comics are not for the faint of heart but the incredible preorder numbers we're seeing show that fans are very ready for the clock to strike MIDNIGHT!

As if this event weren't big enough, it comes the very next weekend after New York Comic Con (where Phillip will be) so you can expect plenty of big comic news to be flowing from that, making this the perfect time to meet one of the architects of what will be taking Marvel Comics by storm!
